Contrast POV
Expectations
A Contrast Proof of Value (POV) is an extensive undertaking, and requires significant resources from both you and Contrast. We want to make sure that the exercise is fruitful, and that you are able to gather all the information during the POV needed to make a decision to procure Contrast for your organization.
To this end, we’ve outlined a set of expectations that you should have of us during and after the POV, and vice versa. If you wish to add any, please do so!
Expectations from Participants
Before, during and after the POV, the Contrast Security team wants to help potential customers achieve a successful evaluation of the Contrast platform. Therefore, this will require your involvement in the form of:
- An agreement among your stakeholders as to what criteria comprise a successful POV.
- Success criteria should be specific, quantifiable, and – most importantly – must map to a business need that your organization has.
- If the success criteria are met, you would feel confident in recommending Contrast for your organization from both technical and business value perspectives
- Time commitment to meet and work with the Contrast Security team at least weekly (e.g., timely review of results)
- Investment of development, security, and operations team resources
- A primary contact that can help coordinate resources throughout the organization
- Collaboration with Contrast to create the executive summary presentation
- Pre-scheduling the executive summary and wrap-up presentation, which includes participation from the evaluators, decision makers, and executive sponsors
Expectations from Contrast
The Contrast Security team will guide the evaluation and demonstrate how the platform will make applications more secure during development and through to production. Please expect the team to:
- Educate participants on the Contrast Security platform
- Help to install and configure Contrast
- Focus on addressing the target POV success criteria
- Assist in reviewing Contrast results and diligently answer questions
- Collaboratively help to build an executive summary presentation
